Therapeutic Thai-Yoga Bodywork Training
10-5pm each day; $99/per day or $150 for both days if you sign up before 5/13 ($195 regularly)
This training prepares one with the skills necessary to offer a 'Therapeutic Thai-Yoga Bodywork' treatment. This course focuses on how to release individual muscles as opposed to learning a flowing sequence. There is a strong emphasis on various Thai and Osteopathic techniques, including Positional Release, and Muscle Energy Techniques. You will both learn how to use proper body dynamics and leverage to effortlessly apply pressure to sore muscles, energy lines & trigger points as well as learn how to bring your partner through a series of assisted hatha yoga stretches. This training compliments any other Yoga therapy or Thai massage course. After completing the course, all dedicated practitioners should be confidant to offer these new skills into their healing regimen.
This course is more advanced than my 'Foundational Flow' Thai certification training. It is designed for those who are already comfortable moving and manipulating soft tissue. You will be working on the ground using your hands, knees, forearms, feet and elbows to apply compression and stretches. All students must be comfortable with yoga and have good agility moving their own bodies into various positions. This training is ideal for yoga teachers and other somatic therapists. It is a wonderful way to complement the massage or yoga that you are currently offering and provide yourself with a new skill and income stream. You will receive detailed handouts with pictures and descriptions to aid in your ongoing practice.
This Course is approved by NCBTMB & Yoga Alliance for 12 hours of Continuing Education hours! You can also choose to take individual days for 6 CE hours. Each day is from 10:00am-5:00pm (with an hour lunch break around 1:00pm)

Qigong & Tai Chi with Chas Brynan
7:30pm, 5 weeks, $75
This class is a mix of Qigong and Tai Chi! Qigong is a practice of aligning breath with the body’s movements. With roots in Chinese medicine, martial arts, and philosophy, qigong is traditionally viewed as a practice to cultivate and balance qi (chi) or what has been translated as intrinsic life energy. Our Qigong practice will begin with slow circular movements using the arms, legs and waist. We will then move on to the Eight Section Brocade Qigong, (Baduanjin) and learn why this exercise has been practiced for thousands of years by all forms of martial artists for its healing and restorative movements.
Tai Chi is the true embodiment of Yin and Yang – the duality and complement of opposites. There is a quietude and comradery while practicing Tai Chi within a group setting as well as an energy and heightening of the senses as we move together in harmony. When observing someone doing Tai Chi, they appear relaxed and dreamlike, however, the movements are quite complex. Make no mistake, when doing Tai Chi the mind and body mechanics are fully engaged.
